This year we will be sharing the holidays as a community– so come and be part of our celebration of the high holidays this year. Shofar Blowers are needed!

Marty Morris and Alice Shapiro will be coordinating our liturgy and other offerings this year. We have songs, English readings, prayers in Hebrew and/or English, Torah Study, Haftorah discussion and more that are waiting for you to lead them — including help with dinner on Monday, Sept. 22nd.

Contact Alice at president@jccobend.com or Marty at marty_morris@yahoo.com for more information.

Dear Friends at Congregation Shalom Bayit,

Temple Beth Tikvah warmly invites you to join us for Tashlich at Pioneer Park on Monday, September 23 at 4:00 pm. Together, we’ll symbolically cast away the year’s missteps into the river—using seeds, not stones (we promise, everyone is aiming at the river). Rabbi Sara Abrams will lead the service, accompanied by the soulful sound of the shofar, followed by a community picnic with pizza and salad provided by TBT.

We are genuinely looking forward to sharing this meaningful holiday with you and building new memories together. Please register here at this link.

With anticipation and joy,

Temple Beth Tikvah

  • Jewish Federation of Greater Portland is pleased to continue its Gather Grant program. You select the date. You plan the activity. You invite the attendees. With the High Holy Days and Sukkot approaching, holiday meals tend to be larger and cost more. Based on the number of people participating, the Jewish Federation will pick up the tab (between $120-$180). This program is open to the community and people of all ages. Make sure you apply for your grant today.

We’re excited to announce our 2026 session dates and registration timeline!

Important Reminders

  • Registration is available during your assigned window, or any time thereafter.
  • Space is limited, and sessions frequently reach capacity. Register promptly when your window opens to have the best opportunity to secure a spot at camp and avoid the waitlist! Should your first-choice session be full, we strongly encourage you to explore alternative session options.
  • International applicants receive a 20% discount.

In addition to Oded, we are introducing a secondary leadership program for rising 12th graders: Gesher. As its name implies, Gesher (bridge) represents a transition between being a camper and giving back to the community as a staff member. We’re here to support you throughout the registration process. You can learn more about scholarships and financial aid by visiting our website at any time. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Assistant Director Ruthie Chaban:

We can’t wait for another summer filled with joy, growth, and community!
