2019 Global Day of Jewish Learning
Join Reconstructing Judaism on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Beth Israel in Media, Pa. or online for a live-streamed talk with Rabbi David. A. Teutsch, Ph.D. The Global Day of Jewish Learning is a project to unite Jewish communities across the world through study of our shared texts. The day unfolds during a 24-hour period of live learning-events in various locations around the world. The learning-events are also live-streamed for those not near enough to attend. Beth Israel is the site for the Reconstructionist movement’s contribution to the day. This year’s Global Day theme is “Speaking Volumes”. From ancient arguments to modern meanings, from raising our voices to remaining silent, people the world over will explore how and why words matter.
