Join the Social Action Committee’s Gleaning Event- July 16

Please join the TBT Social Action Committee for a morning of gleaning vegetables alongside our community farmers. Gleaning is the act of collecting excess fresh food from farms, to provide it for those in need. Volunteer to meet this Torah commandment, which is an obligation to the poor at harvest time.

Our gleaning date is Thursday, July 16, from 9 am to about noon. We likely will work at Rainshadow Farm in Sisters. Children are welcome! After you register for this event, additional information – including a waiver form, clothing, optional tools, etc. – will be forwarded to you.

This activity supports the High Desert Food and Farm Alliance, an organization that supports a connected local food system where food producers thrive and all Central Oregonians are nourished.
